Skin Characteristics:
- Normal Skin Type: Skin appears smooth, healthy and well-moisturized. It does not appear shiny or oily and it does not show the damaging effects of dry skin.
- Oily/Acne Skin Type: Oily skin tends to be glossy and oily to the touch, especially on the forehead, chin and nose area. Also the "T" zone can be involved. Many people with oily skin suffer from acne.
- Dry/Mature Skin Type: Dry skin can be caused by several factors such as frequent washing, as well as changes in the skin's natural ability to retain moisture. Skin may appear dry and rough and show a layer of scales on the surface. As we mature, skin will naturally become dryer, making fine lines more apparent.
Product Line
- Cleansers We carry a cleanser for sensitive skin and one for skin of all types. Cleansers are designed to remove impurities without using harsh ingredients such as soaps and formaldehydes. Utilizing botanical extracts, they leave the skin feeling clean without drying or irritation.
- Toner We carry a revitalize toner and an acne toner. Toners use ingredients such as alpha-hydroxy acids, antioxidants, botanical extracts, salicylic acid and tea tree oil. Toners are designed to stabilize your natural PH balance for clean, healthy skin.
- Moisturizers We carry a complete line of moisturizers to fit your needs. Moisturizers are formulated with specific ingredients for each different skin type. They are designed to repair, hydrate, protect and nourish the skin while improving skin texture and tone for a healthier, more vibrant appearance.
- TNS Product Line This is a very exciting and highly publicized product line for anti-aging. This was discovered through wound healing research. It is a mix of multiple human growth factors, soluble collagen, matrix proteins, and antioxidants. These ingredients deliver visible improvement in dyspigmentation, the appearance of wrinkles, and an overall increase in skin firmness and resiliency.

The Palomar Starlux laser is used for hair reduction of all hair and skin types. It causes no significant discomfort because it combines two different types of laser energy to destroy the hair follicle without damaging or burning the skin. Hair in an active growth phase is eliminated by destroying the hair follicle, thus with each treatment more and more follicles are destroyed.
The Starlux effectively destroys both light and dark hair, although more treatments are usually required to reduce light colored hair. Treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks, and most people require a minimum of four treatments, so begin your bikini well before the summer.

Medical Grade Chemical Peels
We are pleased to offer three excellent peels by Skin Medica. The lightest peel is the Illuminize peel, which is safe for all skin types, and does not cause unsightly peeling, so there is no down time. The Vitalize peel is a moderated chemical peel which usually results in a few days of light peeling. A series of 4 to 6 peels is recommended and will smooth the texture of the skin, even skin tone, and reverse the effect of sun damage and aging. The Vitalize Peel is effective in treating acne-prone skin and can be used on the face, back and decollete. Our deepest peel is the Rejuvenize Peel which penetrates the epidermis to produce significant results with minimal irritation. It is indicated for sun-damaged skin, acne, acne scarring and melasma. Peeling starts 2 days after the procedure and can last up to 5 days.
Vibraderm
We are excited to offer the newest, most effective and most comfortable form of medical grade skin microdermabrasion. Vibradermabrasion is performed using a paddle the vibrates 200 times a second and is massaged slowly over any skin surface. It does not cause bruising, discomfort and discoloration like traditional crystal microdermabrasion. It is a medical grade skin resurfacing procedure and can be performed only in a doctor's office. Sclerotherapy is the treatment used to diminish unsightly spider veins that often develop on the legs. Spider veins are small, dilated blood vessels that have a red or blue color. The cause is not known, but there seems to be a familial predisposition. Support stockings will help to prevent them from developing. Maintaining normal weight, exercise, a healthy diet, and wearing low heeled shoes will help in the prevention of spider veins.
Sclerotherapy is a procedure during which hypertonic saline solution is injected into the spider vein. This causes the vessel to constrict and close. Over a period of weeks, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades, eventually becoming barely noticeable or invisible. A single blood vessel usually needs to be injected more than once.
Two to four treatments at 4 week intervals will typically achieve optimum results. For more severe cases, 6 treatments may be needed. In any one treatment session a number of vessels will be injected. Over time, new spider veins often develop and touch up sessions are typically needed every 1 to 2 years.
After treatment, pressure dressings will be applied to the injected areas. These should be left on for a minimum of 24 hours. If the dressing is removed prior to 24 hours, then compression stockings must be worn. Exercise should be avoided for 72 hours after treatment.

BotoxTM is made by Botox Cosmetic, a division of Allergan. It has 20 year history and was originally given for eye twitching in adult and pediatric cases. When adults noticed a dramatic softening of wrinkles around the eyes. the cosmetic application began.
Botox is mainly for three areas of the face. The area between the eyes (scowl), also known as the glabellar area, has FDA approval for Botox administration. Off-label usage is common for the forehead and crow's feet areas of the face. It simply relaxes the muscle, leaving you with a rested, younger look. Unlike the TV stereotype, Botox does not leave you with a frozen expression.
Botox generally lasts for 4 to 6 months, but can last longer in subsequent applications.
